Frank and Lindsay (Keanu Reeves, Winona Ryder) get off on the wrong foot at the airport; then they realize they’re headed for the same California wedding. An indie comedy that’s meant to be romantic entertainment for a grownup audience, but never really feels like it. The attitude is laidback, the film uses its tourist-friendly Paso Robles locations well and it all benefits from the fact that the two stars have been close for decades… but it’s awfully hard to put up with the empty banter and Reeves’s malcontent.
