The director’s feature debut is a romantic drama-comedy about a circle of friends where love comes and goes in unpredictable, messy ways, especially for Ellen (Mille Lehfeldt) who’s first involved in an affair with a married man, then runs into a more suitable partner (Jens Albinus), if only the two of them are able to find the right time to choose love. The filmmakers use a series of social gatherings, beginning with a New Year’s Eve party, where we also follow the other friends on their misadventures through life. Likable and easily relatable, not least thanks to a good ensemble cast.
