WHERE THERE’S A WILL THERE’S A WAR.

When they learn that wealthy aunt Hilda (Kathleen Turner) is dying of cancer, her relatives gather at her home to make sure they’re included in the will. On paper, this black comedy from the writer of the gem Death at a Funeral (2007) ought to be a success, but it keeps hitting false notes. Most of the outrageous jokes are duds and the nastiness between the characters fails to generate laughs, in spite of the cast’s attempts; David Duchovny is worth a chuckle as a very stupid entrepreneur.
