Fast & Furious 9

Dom and Letty (Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez) are drawn out of retirement to chase after a device that can control any weapons system; suddenly, Dom’s younger brother (John Cena) becomes a competitor. There was a submarine in the last movie; this time they’re going to space. The film mixes the same kind of (increasingly elaborate) tongue-in-cheek action and family values as the predecessors; when there’s no action, the story drags. Excessively silly and annoyingly lazy at times, but you still have to admire the sheer balls of its wildest sequences.
