After exposing a human trafficking ring run by men she used to do business with, an operative (Jennifer Lopez) finds herself trying to protect her 12-year-old daughter (Paez) from her former associates. J.Lo as an action hero? It’s a refreshing change of pace for the star, and her performance as a woman whose past comes back to haunt her is one of the film’s best ingredients. Too bad though that there’s absolutely nothing here that deviates from a well-worn formula and the action isn’t thrilling enough to make us ignore glaring plot holes. Good use of locations, though.
